He was born 20 Dec 1892 in Minsk Russia, the son of

Nicholos Pitkevich and Annie Petroski Pitkevich. He came

To Wilkes Barre as a young man. Peter worked for the Henry

Colliery, Lehigh Valley coal company as a miner, Retiring in 1959.

He was a member of Holy Resurrection church in Wilkes Barre and

The United Mine workers, local 1616

Surviving are his children: Nicholos Pitkevich of Wilkes Barre, Helen

Pitkevich Fink, West Wyoming, Albert Genesky, Albany GA, Marleen Pitkevich

Grizezdzinski, Wilkes Barre.

Predeceased are his first wife Julia Kozlowicz Pitkevich and wife Frances Simchick Pitkevich,

Who died in 1952, Son Alexander Pitkevich in 1982 and daughter Lorraine Pitkevich Wallace in 1984.

Funeral will be Wednesday from Simon S. Russin funeral home, Plains PA with a requiem service in

Holy Resurrection Cathedral, with interment in the parrish cemetery, Holy resurrection

Orthadox cemetery Plains PA, the Rev Vladmir Petorak officiating.
