Lydia was the wife of Franklin Henry, and the daughter of George and Mary Ann (Hess) Messersmith.
LYDIA JANE HENRY, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jennie Shive, 616 Chestnut St., York, Aug. 14, after an illness, several weeks of which she was bedfast. Mrs. Henry was the wife of Frank Henry who died some years ago.
She was 73 years, 9 months, and 23 days old.
She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Shive, Mrs. Bert Gentzler, Allen and Paul, also twenty-one grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shive, Aug. 16, with concluding services in Zion (Shaffer's) Church by the Rev. M. L. Kroh, pastor of the Seven Valleys Lutheran Charge, in the absence of her pastor, who was at his father's bedside. Burial followed in the nearby cemetery.
