Leonard Hardgrave, from the community of Flat Rock, Arkansas, entered the presence of the Lord surrounded by his family, Friday, February 14, 2014, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
He was born October 2, 1929, at Clarksville to the late Amos and Lois Hooten Hardgrave.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Whorton Hardgrave and his daughter, Janet Climer Falls.
Survivors include a sister, Myrtle Humphrey of Russellville; a brother, Billy Hardgrave of Ft. Worth, Texas, children, Anna Wilson, Brenda Francis, and Maureen Hardgrave, all of Boston, Massachusetts, Charles Climer of Russellville, Jeannie Elder of Springfield, Missouri, Robert Climer of Russellville, Gary Climer of Dover, Leonard Earl Hardgrave of Russellville, Cheryl Prock of Russellville, and Dr. Cynthia Wilson of Rogers; 26 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Leonard served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Bechtel Engineering, during the construction of ANO, and retired from the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers.
The memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday February 17th, 2014, at the Flat Rock Worship Center near London with his son, Leonard Earl Hardgrave, and the Rev. Charles L. Howington officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
