She was a retired teacher and principal of the Woodview School at Grays Lake, Ill.
The former Myrtle P. Fend, she was born Aug. 28, 1903, in Winona to William and Augusta Gernhart Fend. For the past eight years she had lived in Sarasota and prior to that in Grays Lake. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors are: her husband, one brother, John, Winona, and one sister, Mrs. Lenore Wilkinson, Winona.
Private family funeral services will be held Tuesday, with the Rev. Lynn Davis, Grace Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Martin Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
