Gladys A. Wallace, 93, Wyandotte, OK, passed into eternal rest at 7:39 pm, August 21, 2014 at her home in rural Wyandotte after an illness.
Gladys was born July 24, 1921 in Gwinnett County, GA the daughter of Jonas and Sarah (Abernathy) Davis. Gladys was a homemaker and loved children, gardening and people. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wyandotte, OK. Gladys married Ernest H. Wallace April 30, 1941 in Jonesboro, GA and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Wayne L. Wallace and George M. Wallace, her parents Jonas and Sarah Davis and eight siblings.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Curtis and husband James, Atlanta; one daughter-in-law, Eileen Wallace; Nephews and nieces that Gladys and Ernest raised after they lost their parents; nephews Bill Wilson and wife Patty, Las Vegas, NV and John Wilson, Oklahoma City, OK; nieces Pat Grubb and Brenda Wilson both of Miami, OK; Grandsons, John Wallace and wife Liz, Wyandotte, Tim Wallace and wife Marla, Tallahassee, FL, Keeling Grubb and wife Chloe, Miami, OK, Chuck Beddingfield and wife Tina, Georgia; granddaughters, Jessica Wallace, Springfield, MO and Natalie Wilson, Houston, TX, Monica Kimbler and husband James, Lynn Osbold, Elaine Hill and husband Mike all from the Atlanta area as well as numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Wyandotte United Methodist Church with Rev. Jon Bates and Rev. John Crowley officiating. Burial will be in the Wyandotte Cemetery with Tim Wallace, John R. Wallace, Keeling Grubb, Lonnie Lankford, Hunter Grubb and Richard Wallace serving as pallbearers.
