"Arthur S. Hathaway, 63, of 1407 Fifteenth street, resident of Port Huron 34 years, died early this morning in the family residence after a long illness. Mr. Hathaway formerly owned and operated a Military street barber shop. He was born in Capac, Aug. 20, 1884. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Hathaway; two daughters, Mrs. Philip Buckley, Port Huron, and Mrs. Wellington B. Osmun, Pontiac; three grand children and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Arthur Smith funeral home. Rev. David T. Jordan, pastor of Griswold Street Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Capac Cemetery."
