Because Thomas and Delia died when A.G. and his two siblings were still young, they were raised by their uncle William Andrew Creech (1879-1943) and his wife Dossie Emily Dougharty (1880-1967), who had no children of their own.
On the 18 April 1928, A.G. married Ima Helen Balla (1910-1998), the daughter of Alexander Balla (1886-1950) and Julia Molnar (1885-1962), in Brookeland, Sabine Co., Texas. Between 1929 and 1936, A.G. and Ima had four daughters: Dorothy, Esta, Billie, and Patricia.
A.G. passed away on the 13 February 1985 in West Orange, Orange Co., Texas. He was buried in Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
