Betty Mae Abbett, 56, Tuscumbia, died Wednesday at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. She was born Feb 7, 1937, in Iberia, a daughter of Wade and Grace Roark Flaugher. Her mother survives in Tuscumbia. She was married Oct. 8, 1955, in Tuscumbia to Donald Abbett, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she was a member
of Tuscumbia Christian Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Donnie Abbett, Tuscumbia; two daughters, Lynette Pendleton and Christy Rush, both of Tuscumbia; four brothers, Jesse Flaugher and Charles Flaugher, both of Tuscumbia, Gregory Flaugher, Eugene, and Jeffrey Flaugher, Eldon; four sisters, Wanda Helton, Sedan, Kan., Nancy Clark and Sherry Sears, both of Tuscumbia, and Cynthia Alieksaites, Ulman; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.
