Marvin, my father, was born in Port Morris, NJ, the son of Laura E. Hilts (1883-1974).

He had a half-brother, Albert J. Cochran (1917-1974).

Marvin marrried Margaretha (Margaret) Magdelena Huffenus (1912-1986). They had one son: Marvin (1942-), husband of Alice Mae Godfrey (1941-1994).

Their wedding on May 15, 1937 was a double wedding. In addition to Marvin and Margaret, Margaret's sister Barbara "Pinny" married William Taggart.

Marvin and his wife lived at 1017 Julia St. in Elizabeth, NJ until his death in 1981.

During World War II he worked at Davis Engineering in Elizabeth, NJ as a machinist.

He retired from Fyre-Fighter in Newark, NJ were he worked as a machinist.

Marvin's great-granddaughter, Emily Margaret Banasiak lies on the right side of the monument when facing the monument.
