Milton-Freewater resident, Andy Anderson, 66, passed away October 22, 2012, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center.
Andy was born June 1, 1946, in Walla Walla, to Everett and Ruby Sannar Anderson. He attended high school in Tucson, Arizona, then enlisted in the Marine Corps. He also served in the Air National Guard and Army National Guard.
On February 14, 1981, he and Rosalie Jensen married in Walla Walla. He was a forklift driver for Continental Can Company until they closed in 1998. He then worked at Boise Cascade until retirement in October, 2011.
Andy was an avid fisherman, horseman and woodworker. He loved the family’s three special dogs, Baxter, Shiloh and Annie.
Andy is survived by his wife, Rosalie, at their home; a daughter, Doreen Anderson of Walla Walla; a son, Lance Bray; his mother, Ruby Dunnigan of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters: Laura Anderson of Madison, Wisconsin and Linda McKey of Desert Hot Springs, California and one granddaughter, Emma O’Harrow of Milton-Freewater. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Anderson.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2012, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, Washington. The graveside service with military honors will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, 2120 S. 2nd Avenue, Walla Walla. Pastor Gary Casey of CenterPointe will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Mountain Humane Society through the funeral home.
