She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Oregon, the daughter of Fred and Emma King Griffin.
She married Floyd Swearingen in 1934. He died in 1991.
She was a lifetime resident of the area.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wearley and Johnny Griffin and two sisters, Freda Emmerson and Stella Carlson.
She is survived by a daughter, d. Jen goodson of St. Joseph; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon.
Burial: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Mo.
