Cecil B. Hager, 78, Died Wednesday (March 14,2001) at Community Hospital of McCook.
He was born Nov. 19, 1922, to David William and Ollie (Crawford_ Hager at Lawrence. He attended Walnut Grove School at Lawrence.
He entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 25,1944, and served during World War 11. He was honorably discharged on Oct. 31, 1946.
He moved to McCook in 1954. He was a truck driver and later was a service station manager for Kugler Oil Company until his retirement.
He was a member of the McCook Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
H was preceded in death by his parents, two brother, Jess and Elmer and one grandson Bryan Hager.
Survivors include Ynonne Hager, of McCook, three sons, Ronald and wife, Dottie of Tyrone, Okla., David Hager and wife, Kathy of Atchison, Kans., and Wagne Hager of McCook; step-children Randy Blankenship and wife,Monica of McCook, Talmaria Chamberlin of Grand Island, David Blankenship and wife, Sara of Lincoln, Penny Power of Grand Island and Kira Spargo and husband, Larry of McCook, 14 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Services are Friday, 2:30 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook with the Rev Clark bates officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
