"John H. Frlant.

CHATSWORTH. John H[enry] Frlant, 55. died at 4 p. m. Saturday in Fairbury hospital. Death was attributed to diabetes. He was admitted to the hospital Friday night.

The body was taken to the Mowry Funeral home, Fairbury, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. C. L. Lockard, pastor of Fairbury Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Avoca cemetery, north of Fairbury.

He was born Nov. 20, 1893, Avoca township, a son of Charles H. and Nona Morrison Friant. He married Miss Carrie Harrison [nee Caroline Frances Harrison] of Chatsworth on May 3, 1915 in Peoria.

He farmed mostly in the vicinity of Chatsworth all his life.

Surviving are Mrs. Friant, of Gilman; five sons, Elmer and Myrel, Pontiac; William, Chatsworth; Edward, Bushnell; Jackie, Gilman; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bradley and Miss Vera Friant both of Fairbury; eight grand children; six brothers, Arnold, New Lenox; Arthur, Oak Lawn; Clarence, Pontiac; Roy, Falrbury; Raymond and William, Gary, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Natzke, Pontlac; Mrs. Evelyn Fifefield, Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. Dorothy Matheny. Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Mable Shewmaker, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Bertha Hicks, Ft Dodge, Iowa.

One sister and two brothers, and a daughter, Edna, preceded him in death."
