Sgt. Joshua "Josh" Youmans - Age 26, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Saturday, March 11, 2006 at St. Robert Catholic Church, Major Chapin officiating. Burial will follow at Youmans Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11AM-9PM Friday at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Soldier and Family Assistance Center at Fort Sam Houston. Josh was born in Flint, MI on February 2, 1980, the son of William G. and Rebecca J. (Locke) Youmans. He married Catherine F. Draheim on September 16, 2000 in Flushing. Josh was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry of the Michigan National Guard from Saginaw. He was an avid sportsman and gamer and enjoyed carpentry and movies. Surviving are: wife, Katie; daughter, MacKenzie; mother, Rebecca Youmans of Flint; father, William and wife Jennifer Youmans of Flushing; sisters, April and husband Low Jackson of Flint, Jenni and husband Ray Jamison of Flint; brothers, Jeremy Youmans of Flint, Josh Bleu of Flushing; grandparents, Del and Barb Youmans of Charlevoix, Elsie Locke of Clio; parents-in-law, Bill (Wilbur) and Cathie Draheim of Flushing; brothers and sisters-in-law, Will and wife Sarah Draheim of Big Rapids, Sean Draheim of Flushing, Sarah Draheim of Flushing; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Krista and Sean Frame; and his dog, Sweetie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Locke; and uncle, Jim Cummings. A special thank you to the nurses at 4-North, the Red Cross Volunteers, Soldier and Family Assistance Center, and our friends at the Guest House at Fort Sam Houston.
