Mrs. Dorothy Marie Abbott died Sunday, Jan 8, 1998 at her home in Turners Station, KY. She was a native of Carroll County and had been employed by the General Butler State Park until her retirement. Her survivors include her husband, John Earl Abbott; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Pearson of Bagdad; 3 sons, Darrell and Rodney Abbott of Pleasureville and Doug of New Castle; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Chester Breeden of Carrollton; a brother, Rev. Curtis T. Breeden of Liberty; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Allan Payton. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at the Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle. They were conducted by the Rev. Paul E. Perry, Pastor and the Rev. Bob Wade, Assistant Pastor of the Campellsburg Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

Interment was at the New Castle Cemetery.
