Death certificate states that Nancy died of a stroke. Her father listed as Isaac DeForest, born NJ. I believe that Nancy was adopted. On the 1850 census of Mercer Co. PA, a Nancy Johnson, 4 years of age was living with Isaac DeForest and his wife Nancy Quinby. Their DeForest children were all much older.
