In addition to the children who are linked here, Lewis and Martha had a son, Jay C Linn, born 2 Sep 1872, died 28 Jun 1873, probably both in USA, NY, Steuben County. His burial place has not yet been located. A big thank you to Rich for the transfer of his memorial. During the Civil War he served in the 111th NY Infantry as follows: L I N N , L E W I S G . — Age, 19 years. Enlisted at Thurston, to

serve one year, and mustered in as private, Co. I, August 26, 1864; mustered out with company, June 4, 1865, near Alexandria, V a Why his stone has 3 NY Infantry is a puzzle. Pension index card shows only service in the 111NYI.
