Iva R. Johnson
September 14, 1925 - August 30, 2014
Iva R. Johnson, age 88, of Brunswick, OH passed away peacefully at her home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Iva was born in Sweetwater, TN on September 14, 1925 to the late Lee and Nancy Miser. She moved with her husband and daughters to Cleveland in 1957 and has resided in Brunswick for the past 20 years.
She was a wonderfully, loving wife to her husband Clarence of “68 years.” Her girls say that she loved everyone unconditionally, but always with the teaching of responsibilities in life, which has guided them always. Because of her love and teachings, when the family increased in size “10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren” her love and guidance has been passed on to them.
She always showed her love for them by cooking each and every weekend “no matter how many came”…she feed them all with love and enjoyed every moment with them. ( Her husband nicknamed her “Cookie The Cook” because of this!)
She is survived by her husband, Clarence, daughters- Patricia Noga and Wanda Vasil. Sister- Betty Roberts Preceded in death by her daughter-Peggy Lee Ransom, in 2013 brothers- Ernest and Bobby; sisters- Molly and Goldie. I va’s family and friends may gather on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at Noon with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City. Interment- Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, OH
