Gladstone, Mich.-Mrs. Addie DuRoy, 79, died Saturday at the home of her son, Irvin DuRoy, 813 Minnesota avenue, Gladstone, with whom she had made her home for the past seven years.
Born near Bryan, O., June 5, 1868, Mrs. DuRoy lived most of her life in Lower Michigan communities. She was an active member of the Free Methodist church.
Surviving are three sons, Herbert and Lewis of Flint; Irvin of Gladestone; a brother, Willis Towers of Cadillac; a sister, Mrs. Clara Bailey of Jackson, and nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Her husband, Eugene, died 34 years ago.
The body is in state at the Kelly funeral home from 4 o'clock this afternoon. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p. m. Tuesday with the Rev. Anna Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Rest. [The Escanaba Daily Press (Escanaba, Michigan), October 6, 1947]
