He was born Aug. 6, 1909, in Colville, Wash. He was a longtime resident of the Portland area. Mr. Fales had worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline M.; son, Davis M. of Payette, Idaho; daughters, Judith Chinn of Baker City and Arsella Hall of Port Angeles, Wash.; stepson, Michael Veach of Vancouver, Wash.; stepdaughter, Donna Bratcher of Portland; sister, Helen Mason of Portland; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Disposition was by cremation.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Northminster Presbyterian Church.
