Lloyd Dean Meredith, 74, passed away March 3, 2003, at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO. Lloyd was born August 20, 1928 in Colp, IL., to Rev. I.E. and Norma Meredith. Lloyd began his military service in 1947 in the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in the Korean War, and was discharged in 1961 from the U.S. Air Force at Ent AFB, Colorado Springs. Lloyd served as a Deputy Constable, and was employed by the Knob Hill Fire Department. When Knob Hill was annexed into the City of Colorado Springs, he transferred to the Street Division, retiring as a general foreman in 1990. Lloyd was a member of the Masonic Lodges, both in Williamson County, IL., and El Paso County, CO., and was Past Master of El Paso Lodge #13, and Memorial Lodge #2. He is survived by one brother, David L. (Ruth Ann) Meredith, Sr. of Lansing, KS.; two sisters, Wilma J. Spelbring of Colorado Springs, CO., and Mary E. (Paul E.) Scott of Loveland, CO.; six nieces; one nephew, and many other family members and friends, including his care-giver, David Eldi. He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew and a brother-in-law. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
