William Wimber
COBURG - The graveside service will be held Aug. 29 for William Floyd Wimber of Coburg, who died Aug. 23 of age-related causes. He was 83.
Wimber was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Youngstown, Mo., to Beverly and Mary Clutter Wimber.

He married Ruth Hall in Kirksville, Mo., on Nov. 7, 1939. She died Feb. 22, 2002.
Wimber worked on the family farm until 1939, when he moved to Yakima. He worked as a crane operator in the shipyards until moving in 1945 to Prineville, where he worked as a log truck driver, a millworker and a shipping clerk at Hudspeth Lumber Co. He lived in Coburg for many years.

His interests included gardening, family activities and visiting with friends.
He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a 37-year member of Operating Engineers Local 701.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Ronald; six grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

Friday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Prineville Cemetery. Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
