Mrs. Sarah Welton died at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. James Colwell,
Saturday afternoon, October 21, 1899.
She was the daughter of Solomon
Steele, deceased, and widow of Tru-
man Welton, who has been dead thir-
ty six years. At the time of her death
she was ninety five years, two months
and fourteen days of age. Deceased
leaves three children, Mrs. Sarah Col-
well, with whom she lived, Julia, of
California and Dubois, of Kansas.
Also two sisters, Mary Webb, of Lib-
erty, and Mrs. R. L. Wolcott, of New
York. One brother, Joseph, also sur-
vives. The funeral was held at her
late home Monday evening at half past
seven. Interment at Kenoza Lake by
the side of the remains of her departed
husband.
