Raymond is survived by his wife Judy of 50 years, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents Viva (Sisk) Acuff and Leonard Acuff.
Raymond retired from North Kansas City School in maintenance. He was a member of Country Hoedown.
Raymond was also a member of First Baptist Church in Holt, MO, a World War 2 Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the American Legion of Holt, MO and Elks Lodge #1001 of Excelsior Springs, MO.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney MO. Entombment of Urn with final prayer and military honors will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014, at MO State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice.
