Death of Former Swaburg Resident

Mrs. Fred Frost, former long time Swaburg resident, passed away at
her home in Fremont Saturday morning following a lingering illness
for the past two years, being bedfast for the past three months.

As Nellie Mae Sumner, she was born at Boise, Idaho, September 8,
1882, and had attained the age of 60 years, 11 months and 6 days.
When she was eight years of age, she came with her parents to
Nebraska and resided in the Lyons vicinity. On February 19, 1904,
she was united in marriage to Fred Frost of Swaburg and this
community had been their home for many years. They also farmed in
the Oakland and Webster vicinities, and upon retiring from farming
spent some time in California. Last fall they moved from Uehling
to Fremont so that Mr. Frost might be nearer to his work at the
Nebraska ordnance plant at Mead. Mrs. Frost had for a number of
years been a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of
the Latter Day Saints at Walthill.

Morning her passing besides the husband are six children, Mrs.
Wallace McBroom (Ruth) of Swaburg, Mrs. Howard Soderling (Gertrude)
of Lyons, Mrs. Lawrence Shepard (Blanche) of Fremont; Pfc. Harold
Frost of Amarillo, Texas, Fred Edgar and Kenneth Frost of San
Francisco. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and by four
nieces and one nephew. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon
at the Congregational church in Uehling, with interment in the
Baptist Cemetery at Swaburg.
