Marie Alice married Colonel Alfred Moore Rhett of Charleston, SC on August 14, 1866, in the presence of John Rudolph Hamilton and Alicia Ripley. They were married in the church of All Saints, in the Parish of Upper Norwood in the county of Surrey, England.
Sometime after 1908, Marie Alice moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to be near her daughter Anne Rhett Preston. Marie Alice passed away on Saturday, August 24, 1918 and is interred at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA.
