Mrs. Agnes J. Dowell, an 82 year old Hardinsburg resident, died on Saturday, December 9, 1989, at the Ohio County Hospital. Mrs. Dowell was born in Breckinridge County on March 17, 1907, a daughter of the late Giddeon and Mary Driskell Jolly. She was retired from General Electric in Owensboro, Ky., Her husband, Elvin B. Dowell, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Rhea) Adcox of Vanzant and Mrs. Leighton ( Eliza) Robbins of Hawesville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, from the chapel of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, with the Rev. Fred Whitmore, Pastor of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Hardinsburg.
