Mr. Kinder was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Payson, Ill., a son of Floyd L. and June Ehrgott Kinder.
He married Judy Goodpasture on Oct. 27, 1967, in Saverton Methodist Church and she survives.
Mr. Kinder had worked for General Mills plant in Hannibal for 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 having seen duty in Greenland and Fort Belvoir, Va. He was a 1960 graduate of Seymour High School in Payson.
Mr. Kinder was active in the Khoury League in New London and American League baseball.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Judy, are two sons, David Kinder of Quincy, Ill., and Jeff Kinder of the home; a sister, Marilyn Henze and her husband, Norman, of Camp Point, Ill.; a niece, Juna Kill and her husband, Willie, of Clayton, Ill.; and a nephew, Darrell Henze and his wife, Holly, of Palmyra. Also surviving are a great-nephew, Cody Kill; and great-nieces, Marley Kill, Kindra Henze and Hilary Wiley.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a. m. Thursday in the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal with the Rev. Richard Epperson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Salt River Christian Church.
