ALBEE, Jeannette Ann of Fairborn, OH, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2014. Jeannette was born on May 28, 1932, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Albee of Ferndale, MI. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Wayne State University (MI) in 1954 and then completed her Masters degree of Social Science at Smith College (MA) in 1960. Jeannette worked for the Eastway Corporation and then established her career as a social worker for over 30 years at the Greene County Guidance Center in Xenia, OH and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for over 50 years. She was passionately involved with the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) and volunteered much of her time at shelters for women. She supported various charities including Macular Degeneration and helped raise awareness for Huntington's Disease. After her retirement, Jeannette enjoyed traveling the world with her friends. Other hobbies of interest included swimming, bowling, attending plays and symphonies, classical music, artwork, and reading. Survivors include a brother, David L. Albee and wife Mary Jane of Pittsburgh, PA, a nephew, Eric C. Albee and wife Marsha of Georgetown, KY, a niece, Kristen A. Dunbar and husband Steve, a great-nephew, Jacob, and a great-niece, Ellen of Pittsburgh, PA. Condolences can be sent to the family in care of: Eric Albee, P.O. Box 131, Georgetown, KY 40324-0131.
