Pastor Nolan C. Adams, 73, of Clear Fork, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday August 30, 2014 at Welch Community Hospital.
He was born May 18, 1941 in Simon, WV a son of the late Buddy Clyde Adams (1902-1960) & Lila Kenneda-Adams-Brooks (Deceased). He was a long time minister, member of the UMWA and a retired coal miner. Also preceding him in death were infant twin sons Russell Dale Adams (1972-1972) and Brian Keith Adams (1972-1972); two brothers Winifred Kenneda Adams (Deceased) and Herman Leroy Adams (1924-2009).
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years Adelene J. Morgan-Adams (B. 1945) whom he married on December 9, 1961 in Oceana, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1961, Page 264, Application Date: December 4, 1961); three sons Marvin Adams and companion Regina Workman of Cyclone, John and Tina Adams and Todd and Jessica Adams all of Baileysville; a sister Wilma Adams-Brooks; two brothers Darrell Adams and Jack Adams; eleven grandchildren Briawna, Brandi, Alikan, Dakota, Chelsi, Presley, Parker, Marissa, LaThea, David and Phoenix; one great grandchild Matthew; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco with Bishop Anthony Hudgins and Rev. Russell King officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
