L.D. “Bubba” Terrell, 78, of Crosbyton went to be with his Lord on September 1, 2014 in Lubbock. He was born to W.T. and Rosie Jackson Terrell on July 23, 1936 in Coleman, TX.

Bubba grew up in Coleman County and worked as a farm laborer at the age of 15. He moved to Crosbyton in the 1950’s and farmed at Lynn T. Smith Farms for 29 years. Bubba married Dorothy Williams on May 17, 1985. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Chairman Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and served as treasurer. Bubba loved to fish, watch westerns and Bar B Q.

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Terrell, two sons; Bobby Lee Williams Sr., and Vincent Terrell; three sisters; Helen Young, Mary Mack, and Esther Lee Stanfield.

Bubba is survived by six daughters; Mollie Thomas of Crosbyton, Deborah Hutchinson of Lubbock, Willie Faye Jackson of Crosbyton, Lori Jackson of Amarillo, Karen Johnson of Amarillo, and Tammie Coleman of Amarillo, eight sons; Darrell Terrell of Amarillo, L.D. Terrell Jr. of New Mexico, Billy Earl Terrell of San Antonio, Billy Joe Johnson of Marlin, TX., Byron Johnson of Amarillo, LaVance Coppage of Crosbyton, Robert E. Coppage, Jr. of Crosbyton, and Rickey Turner of Lubbock, five siblings; Nancy Terrell of Brownwood, Willie Reed of Pampa, Isiah Terrell of Midland, Daniel Terrell of Santa Anna, TX., and Roy Terrell of Georgia.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. A Wake will be held Friday, September 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
