Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic church, Three Oaks, for Mrs. Emma Dale, 80, a former resident of Sawyer, and for many years a Detroit resident.
The Rev. Julius Hengesbach, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, north of Three Oaks.
Mrs. Dale died Saturday night at Wayne County General Hospital, Detroit. She was admitted to the hospital last week. Prior to her admittance she had been a patient for five years at the Grosse Pointe Nursing Home, in Grosse Pointe Farms.
Mrs. Dale was born in Sawyer, May 20, 1882, the daughter of Charles and Celestia Parren.
Surviving are one brother, Joseph, of Sawyer, and two sisters, Mrs. John Page, of Detroit, and Mrs. Lillian Sellinger, of Dearborn.
Casket bearere were John Page, Joseph Parren, Howard Sherill, Vern Shafer and Roscoe and Edward Livingood.
