Mr. Robert Carl Alexander 90, of Jayess, MS passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday evening at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continues Sunday morning from 1:00 until funeral services there at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery at Carter’s Creek. Rev. Jimmy Houston and Lee Mathis will officiate. Mr. Alexander was born August 24, 1924 in Pike County, MS. He was the son of the late Allen and Bertha Ramsey Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 71 years, Catherine Morgan Alexander; one daughter, Joan A. Brent; one son, Robert Allen Alexander; two brothers, Allen "Son" Alexander Jr. and Lucius Q. Alexander; four sisters, Wilma Dunaway, Eva Mulford, Era "Sis" Roberts and Modena Bowman. Survivors include one son, David B. Alexander of Jayess; three daughters, Dorothy “Dot” Alexander of Jayess, Brenda Reeves & husband George of McComb and Betty Coon & husband Danny of McComb; one brother, Daniel Alexander and wife Myrtle of Albany, LA; one sister in law, Maudine Alexander of Summit; one brother-in-law, Shelby Morgan of Jayess; his grandchildren, Deborah and Joey Moak, Michelle and Dan Brady, Chad and Amy Reeves, Monika and Derwin Cothern, Dwayne and Joaunna Coon, Jeffrey and Misty Coon, Corey Alexander and Patrick Brent; 14 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Coon, Jeffrey Coon, Corey Alexander, Chad Reeves, Dan Brady, Dustin Moak, Donnie Petrus and Derwin Cothern.
