Betty L. Arnold, 88, of Waymart died Wednesday morning, September 3, 2014 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin D. Arnold in 1968.
Born June 25, 1926 in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Box and Eva Spangenberg Box.
Betty was a faithful member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women organization.
She enjoyed reading and puzzles; she was also fond of taking walks, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by four children: Susan Freiermuth and her husband Gary of Honesdale, Jeffrey Arnold and his wife Judy of Waymart, Robert Arnold and his wife Barbara of Blaine Minnesota, and Jennifer Hoch and her husband Rick of Lake Ariel; a sister: Jean Frier of South Windsor, Connecticut; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Calvary United Methodist Church, Belmont Street, Waymart, PA with Pastor Wendy D'Agostino officiating.
Friends may visit on Saturday from10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
Interment will be Saturday in the Clinton Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Calvary United Methodist Church, PO Box J, Waymart, PA 18472.
