Anna Mae Bugyie, 80, a resident of the Town of Barronett, and formerly of Ojibwa, passed away Tuesday, March 19 at the Terraceview Living Center, Shell Lake.
She was born July 26, 1921 to Charles and Jane (Clark) Blasgen in Chicago, where she was raised. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force. On June 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Anthony P. Bugyie in Chicago, where they resided until the early 1970s, when they moved to Ojibwa. Her husband died on December 13, 1991. She moved to the Barronett and Shell Lake area in 1993.
She is survived by her two children, Frannie (Gary) Nielson of Barronett, and Bob (Joey) Bugyie of Berwyn, Ill.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; one step-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anthony, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Jane; and three brothers Charles, Will and Jack.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4 at the Veterans Section of Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward. Father Andrew P. Ricci will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled through the Scalzo Funeral Home in Spooner.
