Brad was a beloved husband, father, G-Pop (Pop-Pop), son, brother and uncle. He was married to the love of his life for 35 years, Tammy Carpenter. He adored his daughters, Kristi and Ashley, as well as, his five beautiful grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Jackson, Kylie and Leyla. Brad loved many and was loved by many great friends.
Brad embraced life, no matter the circumstances. He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Brad was a long-haul truck driver and logged over a million miles during his tenure. In May of 2011, after suffering a severe stroke, Brad had two very close friends who spent time and walked many miles with him every week, Ed Lattier and George Christopher. Brad was thankful to all the people who surrounded him with love during the most trying times of his life, too many to count.
Brad is survived by his loving family including his wife, Tammy Carpenter, of Tyler; daughters, Kristi Meyer and husband Jarrod, of Flint, and Ashley Carpenter, of Tyler; mother, Barbara Carpenter, of Waco; sisters, Angie Steinbach, of Tyler, Tari Jurek and husband John, of Hewitt; brother, Brent Carpenter, of LaMarque; his five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate Brad's life will be on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 4900 Kinsey Drive, Tyler, with Pastor Mark Braaten officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church for the Carpenter family to defer expenses. Arrangements are with Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. - See more at: http://obituaries.tylerpaper.com/obituaries/tylerpaper/obituary.aspx?n=jon-bradley-carpenter&pid=172424867&fhid=16351#sthash.0siNZ2wZ.dpuf
