Walter Capps was born on December 1, 1870 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Ephriam Foster Capps (1840-1911) and Ollie "Adeline" (Sawyer) Capps (1852-1937).
A resident of 1719 25th Avenue North, Nashville, he was the husband of Willie (Howell) Capps. Walter was 72 years old and a retired painter for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad when he died of "mitral regurgitation" on September 24, 1943 at Davidson County Hospital. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison.
