Died aged 68 years, so evidently born about 1824. Daughter of unknown & Albinia [?] (UNKNOWN) MALONE. Married 19 JUL 1865 in Russell County, Alabama, to John Forsyth IVERSON. Mother of at least three children (daughters). Her mother was living with the family on Franklin Street in the 1880 census of Columbus, Georgia Militia District #773 (Upper Town District), Muscogee County, Georgia.

MALONE married 23 DEC 1834 in Baldwin County, Georgia, to Rebecca GRIGG.]

"MRS. IVERSON'S DEATH: ONE OF THE MOST HONORED LADIES OF COLUMBUS PASSES AWAY. // Mrs. Eliza MALONE IVERSON, widow of Col. John F. IVERSON, died at the residence of Mrs. E. C. NESBIT, 1423 Second avenue, yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. Mrs. IVERSON's illness was brief. She returned to the city about two weeks ago from a short visit to her youngest daughter, Miss Leo, in Brunswick. Immediately upon her arrival here she was seized with what proved to be her last sickness. She was born in Wynnton and spent all her life in this city and its immediate vicinity. She leaves three children: Mrs. Louis HAMBURGER, Miss Julia [husband Wiley Albert PATRICK] and Miss Leo. Mrs. IVERSON's funeral will take place from the residence of Mrs. NISBET at 4 o'clock this afternoon." [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Thursday, 21 APR 1892, p. 4.]

"MRS. IVERSON'S FUNERAL: LARGE NUMBER OF SORROWING FRIENDS FOLLOW HER TO THE GRAVE. // The funeral of Mrs. Eliza M. IVERSON took place yesterday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. C. E. NISBET, 1423 Second avenue. // A large number of the friends of the family gathered at the appointed hour to pay their last respects to the deceased lady. Rev. Dr. W. A. CARTER conducted the services, which were very impressive. // The casket was completely covered with exquisite flowers, and evinced the great love which was universally felt for the deceased lady. // The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: D. F. WILCOX, W. C. PEASE, W. C. COART, A. V. BOATRITE, Thomas CHAFFLIN, Richard HOWARD." [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Friday, 22 APR 1892, p. 1.
