Mrs Ellen Dorcus McIntire died Thursday at 11 o'clock p m at family home after a serious illness of a few months, at the advanced age of eighty-nine years. Mrs McIntire was born at Wooster, Ohio, January 7, 1834, of Scotch parentage, and was married at same place to Reason B McIntire.
They moved to Lawrence in 1884 and her husband died fifteen years ago. Their son, H R McIntire, died January 28th, 1920. The only surviving member of the family is L O McIntire who was formerly a dry goods merchant of this city and now resides in Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs McIntire was a member of the Presbyterian church. She was devout in her Christian belief.
The funeral will take place at 2 p m Saturday from the home,1321 Massachuesetts street, Rev E A Block conducting the services.
