Interment following in Ford Cemetery southeast of Newton.
Visitation will begin at 5pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Parnell died September 7, 2014 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Newton, Henry worked as a mechanic for Automotive Maintenance.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Parnell is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Lou Parnell and Carrie Mae Leonard Parnell.
Survivors include his sons Paul Parnell and wife Brenda of Bastrop, Texas and James Parnell and wife Rene of Elgin, Texas, his daughter Dawn Woods and husband Robert of Huntington, Texas, his brothers John Parnell of Waxahachie, Texas and Wilburn 'Bo' Parnell of Pineland, Texas, his sisters Eula Batson and Eva Parnell, both of Bon Wier,Texas, his grandchildren Logan, Erin, Nicole, James, Jourdan, Jessica and Kerigan and great grandchild Lane.
