Isadora Moran Crouseville. The community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Frank Moran, which occurred at Presque Isle General Hospital 9-12-1929. She entered the hospital the week before for a operation which didn't seem to be a serious one. Her many friends were looking for her to be home in a few days but she didn't seem to gain any and passed away quite suddenly. Everything was done for her but all in vain. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, as she was of a genial disposition and was ever ready to help anyone in sickness, when she was able, loved by all who knew her and her friends were numberless. She was born in Woodstock, NB., Canada 57 years ago and moved to Presque Isle when a small child and lived in this vicinity ever since, until the last year, when she lived in Crouseville. Her maiden name was Isadora Wade, she was always known as Dora. She was married to Frank Moran 40 years ago. They had 11 children, all of whom are living, Sidney, Claude, Harold, Wallace, Clarence, Evvie Pettengill, Grace Beckwith, Aleva Ryder, Florence Glidden, Velma Carmichael and Amy, who lived at home. All her family lived near her in Presque Isle. The many floral offerings bore mute testimony to the esteem in which she was held. She was a true Christian and enjoyed being at church when her health permitted. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Besides her family, she left a bereaved husband and a sister, Mrs. Grace Gates of Boston, a number of grandchildren and other relatives. Burial Crouseville cemetery. (Churchill)
