William Shirley Bilton(Pioneer)
Funeral services for William Bilton Shirley Pioneer member of the community who died at his home in Knee Hill Valley on Sunday, October 9th, 1960, were held Wednesday from Duffields Funeral Chapel , Rev.W. Rosenkranz officiating.
The late William Bilton was born in Westport, Leeds County, Ontario in 1884. He came to this district with his parents , brothers and sisters in 1892. He was educated in Ontario and the first Pleasant Valley school.
In 1905, Mr. Bilton married Cecilia Hilton Marsh. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife , a son Shirley and a daughter Mrs. Ernie Hewitt, all of Knee Hill Valley, and six grandchildren.
Burial was in the Knee Hill Valley Divide Cemetery.
