Judy Weinberger was born in Rebrin, Michalovce, Czechoslovakia on July 12, 1915.

She and her husband were on the ship Pentcho that crashed into Rhodes. She was interned at Ferramonti Camp in Italy during World War II and immigrated to the New York after the war. She was named after her great-grandmother, Judith Gruenfeld Friedman.

Burial records indicate she was buried in Pacific View Memorial in southern California but the cemetery has no record of her interment.
