Bill grow up the eighth of eleven children of George and Edna Sellards Adkins.He was the first to be born in Ohio. His father was a coal miner from West Va. Bill never saw a person he didn't like or who didn't like him.
He married Donna Crawford in Ashland, ky. in 1964 and they had William Brian, Janette Denise, and Bradley Elliott. There were 10 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren although four of the grandchildren and the stepgrandchildren he never got to see.
He worked 27 years for the Dover Corporation in Cincinnati,Oh., but lived in Ripley, Oh. for more than 30 yrs. driving the 140 miles each way because he was a farm boy at heart.
He died too young after open heart surgery.Bill was cremated and his ashes were scattered at a waterfall on the old home place, but a memorial stone was placed at the cemetery. He was the gentle giant. Still missed by family and friends.We love and miss you.
