Fannie Ruth Thomas Wright was my grandmother, she was born to John Armstrong Thomas and Matilda Elizabeth Rodgers Thomas in Ward SC. At some point in time her daddy moved them to Columbia where she got a job at the cotton mill. There she met and married my granddaddy, Eugene Darlington Wright.
I loved my grandma, she would let me come and spends weeks with them during the summer and she and granddaddy would take up so much time with us. She was the one that taught me about tithing to the church even though she probably never thought about what she was teaching me or the impact she would have on my life. I miss her very much.
She was the 5th child out of 7 and she and granddaddy had 3 daughters, Carolyn Ruth, Margie Juanita(my mother) and Gwendalyn Frances.
She and granddaddy are buried together at Southland Memorial Gardens in Lexington SC
