Miles Henry Burks, 75, retired orchardist, of Sutter county, died Thursday night at his home in the Central-Gaither district following a long illness.
Burks was a native of Missouri and had resided In Sutter county for many years.
Surviving are his widow, Idella Burks; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Bottler; a stepson, Virgil Arbuckle; three brothers, John M. Burks, Allan Burks, and Jesse T. Burks, and sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Hicks.
