∼Luther Locke, b. Sullivan, N. H., Dec. 6, 1796; m. Hannah Willard, Langdon, N. H., Jan. 25, 1820, who d. July 3, 1879. He was in mercantile business in Keene, and then was a teamster to Boston, Mass., and after to Nashua, N. H., 1818-1855. In the latter year he went to California to reside with his sons, where he d. Lockeford, July 12, 1866. He was a member of the Congregational church.
