Betty Jean Walls was born Jan. 17, 1931, at St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of William Cornman and Maude (Holmes) Cornman.

She passed away Sept.19, 2010, at St. Clair, Mo., at the age of 79 years.

She was united in marriage in 1947 and to this union one son was born.

She later married on Jan.18, 1957, in St. Louis, Mo., and to this union two children were born.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents William and Maude Cornman; husband Marty Walls; one son John Walls; one sister Irene Capper; and four brothers Chester Cornman, Herschell Cornman, Bobby Cornman and Howard Cornman.

She is survived by two sons, one brother, one sister, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild on the way; and a host of other family and friends.

Betty was a member of the First Church of God in Mountain View, Mo., for several years.

She worked at Angelica as a seamstress for 10 years. She worked at the Mountain View Public Library for five years as the Librarian and volunteered at St. Francis Hospital in the Gift Shop.

Betty enjoyed sewing and doing embroidery work.

Most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Mountain View, Mo.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Duncan Funeral Homes.
