Langford, W. B.-4th Corporal July 25, 1861. Captured at Cold Harbor, Va. June 1, 1864. Transferred from Point Lookout?, Md. to Elmira, N. Y. July 12, 1864. Killed in railroad accident at Shohola, Pa. July 15,1864.
Carded records show William B Langford enlisted March 10, 1862 at Suffolk, Va. (He may have served previously in another Regiment)
He was captured at Gaines Farm (Cold Harbor) June 1, 1864. Arrived at White House, Va June 11, 1864. Transferred to Elmira NY July 12, 1864.
Appears on a Roll of Prisoners of War received at Elmira July 17, 1864 from Point Lookout Maryland as follows:

At least 51 Confederate prisoners and 17 Union guards died immediately in the accident or within a day of the wreck. Those who died were buried in a mass grave nearby. On June 11, 1911, the guards and prisoners who died and had been hastily buried at the scene of the crash were disinterred and removed to Woodlawn National Cemetery. A single monument marks the burial site.
