Robert (Bob) grew up an only child. From an early age he loved music,learning to play saxophone,clarinet and piano. While in the service he met and formed a friendship with Al Corey. After WW2 he joined and was part of the AL Cory orchestra based in Waterville Maine,who he played with untill ill health forced him to give up his beloved saxophone. Music was his greatest love however, he was married 4 times 1)Ruth L Robinson 2)Norah L Jones 3)Ruth A E Bailey 4)Norah L Jones yes, married my mother twice!! He had a total of 6 children Robert Lewis,John William,Sandra Ann from the first marriage all 3 children were later adopted by their mothers second husband Charles E Hanson. Next,Robert Waldo Jones Jr. from marriage #2. Terence Robert Jones from marriage #3. Roberta Ann Jones from marriage #4. He was a quiet,gentle and kind man, who never failed to tell me to "be careful" whenever I left the house. He died of lung cancer.
